
R. (Ron) Hessamfar, D.M.D., M.S., P.C.
Dr. Hessamfar completed his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD in 1992. He continued his education in the field of dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 1996. In 1997, he completed his advanced education in general dentistry residency from Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Lancaster, PA, where he gained a vast amount of experience in many dental aspects of patients with and without craniofacial disorders. He then started to practice in a private general dental practice in York, PA, while holding a faculty position at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic.
In 1998, Dr. Hessamfar decided to advance his dental career further in the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. In May of 2001, after three years of training, he completed his specialty in orthodontics and in addition he received Master of Science degree in Oral Biology to complement his education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. Since then, Dr. Hessamfar has been involved with many publication directly and indirectly to his Master Thesis. Dr. Hessamfar has treated thousands of orthodontic patients; both adults and children, with or without dentofacial disharmony in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area. He has changed and enhanced the lives of many patients by giving them the smile of their lifetime since he completed his orthodontic training.

Dr. Hessamfar has been a general dentist and orthodontist for many years. He is able to evaluate each patient’s dental needs and establish an orthodontic plan to achieve optimal results.
Dr. Hessamfar is married. He has three children, two sons and a stepdaughter, whom he spends most of his time with, which gives him the most pleasure in his lifetime. He also enjoys various sports activities, including tennis, swimming, soccer, skiing and camping.
